BAHA Whales Desert 2017
Jim Cline took me on a photo tour of an inlet in the Baja peninsula close to Guerrero Negro where gray whales come in the winter for calving. The whales were not fearful of humans and the inlet/bay was a safe sanctuary being too shallow for killer whales. It provided an opportunity to not only photograph these gigantic gentle monster but to actually “touch” them as they rubbed against our zodiac inflatable boat. We then went inland to San Ignacio in the desert to capture some of the most amazing sunrise and sunsets I have ever seen.
